Akdong musician- AKMU CAMP

I went to a healing camp yesterday, it was AKMU CAMP. While Epik High gather a crowd of Hip-Hop lovers Akdong musician’s concert goers were ranging from kids to adults. No wonder Akdong muician’s songs are considered as healing weapons. Korean Stars such as 2ne1’s Dara, Winner are also seen in attendance on November 23 which is the last day of the 3 day concert.

YG family has also gave their love and support by having those big stand flowers for AKMU. Those stands are from Bigbang, 2ne1, Winner, LeeHi, KT music, and another music channel that I have forgotten about.

Fans gathered even when the concert venue have not been opened and a line for merchandise booth is forming. Fans were mostly buying the lightstick  it was of the color yellow. Not only are there local fans but international fans are also there to witness Akdong musician’s concert.

The concert started with a narration from YG actress Yoo In Na and a VCR was played. A children like story line narrated by Chanhyuk and as soon as the narration is finished the stage lit up and the “camping feel” was set up.

The first song was AKMU’s give love gaining interest from fans and followed by their hit sing 200%. They then introduced themselves and followed by their Kpop star song 사랑은 은하수 다방에서 and Michael Buble’s haven’t met you yet. To which Chanhyuk said that he was supposed to perform haven’t met you yet in the hit survival show Kpop Star but ended up with officially missing you. They then brought a bed setting on the stage and said that this song was the beginning of Akdong Musician. They even wore Mongolian costume to go back to the time. After these they performed their famous Kpopstar hits such as don’t cross your legs (다리 꼬지 마 )and you are attractive매력있어, ugly (못나니)

The VCR was played again. It was Chanhyuk’s solo VCR to which his solo performance started by him going down from the ceiling with his costume looking like an angel falling down. To which he change costume and came out wearing tuxedo with shades showcasing a sexy performance and later guests sungha jung and yoo seung woo joined him on the stage. To which they performed Byun Jin sub’s wishful thinking.

The VCR played again and this time it is Suhyun’s time to shine. She danced to A-pink’s no no no wearing a blue dress. Then she went to this van in a second her costume changed to pink which brought the audience to amazement and as if that was not enough her back up dancer  pulled her dress then it changed to a yellow dress. she danced to Girl’s day darling. By the end of the performance she went to the smoke nachine and afterwards her dress turned to sparkly white.

Akmu then went to sing  작은별 (Little Star). They suddenly brought  up a letter sent by a fan who was really really sick but because of AKMU the fan started to feel at least like a human. While they were reading the letter Chanhyuk was tearing up and Suhyun had to continue the rest of the letter. Since the fan came to the concert Suhyun herself handed a gift to the fan. After that they interacted with fans asking who is hungry and that they have 2 ramyun and they will choose 2 fans to eat with them. Suddenly two courageous fans went up the stage  a boy and a girl. At the stage the set up was like for camping and there was a pot. In the pot was a paper written with the word ramyun and Chanhyuk cut it into half. He put an ounce of liquid and match a lightstick then there was fire in the pot. Just like a magic trick he transformed that piece of paper to a real ramyun! Akdong musician let them ate while they sang their Kpop star song  라면인건가. While the male audience was fanboying over Suhyun she felt shy. But the purpose of the ramyun event was to tease the two audience but it ended up by the boy fanboying. They were also given prices and went off stage. Akdong musician then proceed to sing their song가르마 (Hair Part) , 안녕 (Hello)  and  얼음들 (Melted)

Guess what happened next? Hi suhyun performed. Yess Lee hi went to the stage and they performed I’m different when it was bobby’s turn chanhyuk gave false to the audience by pretending to be Bobby and dancing on the stage, following by Lee hi’s solo performance of 1,2,3,4.

 

Akdong musician continued to sing their Kpop star song 외국인의 고백 (foreigner’s confession) and a revised version of sunset glow and lastly  인공잔디 (Artificial Grass). With their encore stage time and leaves fall as well as 2ne1’s I am the best the concert ended with a bang to the heart of the concert goers.

 

I have no idea if there were extra songs since I went out at encore stage. Of course I do want to watch it but then during Epik High's concert I went out at the encore performance and I saw LeeHi and AKMU. I was hoping to see WINNER but I wasn't able to. However it is indeed a performance that was loved by the fans.
