College festival: woosung university

So everyone knows about the large scale music festival. But do you know about small scale festival called college festivals? Since I am an exchange student here in Daejeon (it is a city which is in the middle of Korea) I decided to go and take a look at the college festival here.

Woosung University

It took me an hour to go to the university since my school is in the opposite side of the university. As soon as I went there people were selling selfie sticks and people were holding beers. When I went to the festival the one performing were college students. So I just indulge myself to the sound of music. I actually went to the festival for IU because I am a big fan of IU and I don't really mind who else is coming. Guess what? HUH GAK, SWEET SORROW, V.O.S and Z:EA were also there.. I know right it was WTF~?!!? so as a fan girl i screamed... As soon as IU appeared on the stage I tell you, if you have seen the Korean reality show Real Men were all the men rush to the stage that is exactly what happened. I couldn't even see IU. I only saw her through the screen. Those men were doing fan chants and were being fan boys.  And yes Huh gak is such a cutie. He is really really good.

Too bad that I didn't go to the other day because the other day was A-pink and Seo In Guk.. but yeah Korean college festivals are usually held in 3 days so around Daejeon there's around 6 universities i think for Hannam University the performers were Stella, VASCO and SISTAR. For Hanbat university it was AOA, for Chungnam university it was DYNAMIC DUO and VERBAL JINT, for KAIST it was SAN-E

Before I get started, do you know there is such thing called a "Youtube fanfest"?
YOUTUBE FANFEST 
Basically this event is a gathering of youtube artists. Usually the famous local youtube artists are in the line up per country. As for the Korea, the lineup is as follows:

1.) Korean Englishman (a.k.a, JOSH and OLLIE)
2.) Taekwondo Masters, K-TIGERS
3.) Gamer BUZZBEAN
4.) Rising K-pop star MEGAN LEE
5.) The swagger DUMBFOUNDED
6.) Romantic Voice DAVID CHOI
7.)  The ever-funny eat your kimchi, SIMON AND MARTINA
8.) The ever famous youtube star SUNGHA JUNG
9.) Man with sweet voice SAM TSUI and KURT SCHNEIDER
10.) The creative CUCKOO CREW
11.) The magic hands LAMUQE, SSIN, LIAH YOO (yes they are one of the best in the industry)
12.) The famous YD (YANG DDING)

TICKET INFORMATION
So i got my ticket for free from the ever caring LAMUQE (you guys should check her stuffs up, I learned a lot from her make-up tutorials! I followed her on Instagram and she just gave me a ticket when I asked for one! ) *plus points for giving me VIP ticket and a SELFIE!!

Q: WERE THEY REALLY GOOD LIVE?
A: Well they were really good with their respective fields. I was really surprised at how they were able to showcase their talents! Seriously, I've been to countless concert here in Korea and they were even better! Well I think one of the reason is that they don't do recorded stuffs while Korean artists do. And yes, even if they look like stars they are the most humble and down to earth people on the entertainment industry.

I do have to admit that after this youtube fanfest I fell for David Choi, I mean he is the BEST he is just too talented. I love Megan Lee more after seeing her perform. I also realised that Sam Tsui is a performer. Not a coverist, but a performer. Got starstuck with Sungha Jung and was awed at how good Josh is with Korean. Cuckoo crew and Buzz bean did their best to Entertain me, they were actually entertaining and creative. Lamuqe, Ssin and yellowcream did prove that they are what people called beauty experts. Eat your Kimchi continuously interact with the audience and won the heart of the audience. Dumfounded brought the house on fire. YD was so cute MC-ing with Eric Nam. (Yes Eric nam is a K-pop artist) and last but not the least the finale K-tigers showed their awe struck karate moves in sync with K-POP music.

Additional Info
At the end of the youtube fanfest the youtubers were interacting with the audince giving them hugs, pictures and they were just the best!

YG FAMILY CONCERT IN SEOUL

How Did i get the ticket:
Okay so it was quite easy to reserve a ticket for the YG family concert. All you have to do is to go to Interpark, which is a Korean site that lets you reserve tickets. Then reserver for a ticket, the concert was held in Olympic Stadium last August 15 2014.
Line up:
1:00pm Rock n roll radio (1:10-1:50pm)
twenty one pilots (2:10-3:10pm)
miss nine (3:50pm to 4:40pm)
sydney samson (4:40pm to 5:30pm)
After wards they played YG's VCR's and so they hype up the crowd
Proper concert started at 6:30pm and ended up at 11:00pm.

Concert review:
The entrance of 2ne1 brings roars to the crowd. The hype was there fans were really screaming and singing together. I tell you 2ne1 does know how to hype up the crowd. CL was the shit, she stands for her bad girl image and Minzy was astonishing as hell. Dara lives up to her beauty image and BOM was there enjoying the stage as well. After 2ne1, AKMU came up to perform. They were so good and so sweet. They said something like probably the fans here are older than us so we are not going to say scream but please scream for us(respectfully) Followed by EPIK HIGH gosh I tell you they were THE PERFORMERS. from head to the toe they were really performers. The crowd loves them and they were performing their hearts out. The entrance of WINNER stirs commotion among the crowd. The crowd went GAGA when WINNER entered. This was after the release of their 2 songs EMPTY and COLORING and I tell you they were handsome. I am sorry to BIGBANG fans I hate to admit it but WINNER is the face! Team B also got the crowd off their seats. One thing that upsets me is that they were good (why iKON?) BIGBANG... i tell you when they entered I felt like I left my soul in the crowd. People were squishing and yelling for BIGBANG. It was like a BIGBANG concert the crowd were like 80% BIGBANG. The crowd were rude cause after BIGBANG the crowd didn't pay attention anymore. PSY was the best. I tell you he is the King of performers no wonder why KOREA loves him. LEE HI I was so excited to hear from her but sadly she only sang 2 songs which is weird because team B has around 5 songs but LEE HI already debuted and and and... (just so dissapointed) Collaboration stages were the BEST OF THE BEST BIGBANG dancing and singing to I LOVE YOU of 2ne1 imagine them waving their hips right in front of me. G DRAGON AND CL did a gizibe collaboration and I tell you that stage was SWAG. Daesung and Seungyoon did UGLY and the rappers of WINNER and TEAM B did hot by 1tym. Epik High and Soyeon sang UMBRELLA. Taeyang and Tablo did the best rendition of eyes, nose lips. The rapper group did doom dada which is dara, songmino and TOP. LEE HI and minzy did 1,2,3,4. i am not sure if i miss any collaboration stage but this is basically it. Photo and videos are below! Check it out!!
